This First Aid course is suitable for staff in in higher risk working environments such as factories, education, manufacturing and construction

any sector, though is primarily targeted for businesses with exposure to greater hazards (e.g education, construction, manufacturing or chemical plants). The course will provide the knowledge and ability to ensure a safe working environment when faced with greater risks, and to treat a wider range of conditions.

• Understand the role and responsibilities of a First Aider
• Manage an unresponsive casualty
• Recognise and assist a choking casualty
• Manage a casualty with external bleeding
• Manage a casualty who is in shock
• Administer First Aid to a casualty with various injuries
• Administer First Aid to a casualty with burns and scalds
• Administer First Aid to a casualty with an eye injury
• Administer First Aid to a casualty with sudden poisoning
• Administer First Aid to a casualty with anaphylaxis
• Provide First Aid to a casualty with suspected major illness
